Homework is due on Monday 30 June.
This week there is a treasure hunt competition. You will receive the handout in class, and you will need to find out a number of facts. Write as many answers as you can on the worksheet, then return on Monday. There will a prize to the person in the class who finds the most correct answers!
1. Where can you find the body of St Thomas More today?
2. Where is his head said to be?
3. Tell someone at home one fact about St Bernadette. Ask them to write it down and sign below:
4. Find someone in school who has visited either Lourdes, Siena or Assisi.
5. State one thing of which St Catherine of Siena is the patron saint.
6. Write down one story related to St Francis of Assisi.
6.3 Homework
If for any reason I do not give you any homework during this final term, then please keep up your research of the saints that we are studying in class. It would also be interesting to find out if you have been named after a saint, or if you were given a saint’s name at your baptism.
Some of the saints you could study are:
St Bernadette
St Catherine of Siena
St Francis of Assisi
St Francis de Sales
St Rita
St Cecilia
Have fun, and I look forward to learning what you have learnt!
6.2 Homework
Homework due on Monday 16 June.
People often use prayer cards to help them pray. These often feature a brief biography of a saint, and a prayer that is inspired by that saint. Many cards have a picture of the saint on one side, and the prayer on the other. Make a prayer card for your House Saint.

Find out three key facts about St Thomas More.
Saint Francis of Assisi
Serry completed an interesting piece of homework. After watching the video about the life of St Francis in class, he was asked to imagine he had gone back in time to visit St Francis of Assisi. What questions would Serry like to ask St Francis?
1. What made you choose to stop fighting and to serve God?
2. How long did it take to build the church?
3. Why were people rude to you?
4. What made your father betray you?
5. Why did they hate you so much?
6. How did those people get to serve you or work with you?
7. How did you get those who were against you, to listen to you?
8. How did your life go on?
Great questions, Serry! I hope that some people out there can also imagine how St Francis might have answered those questions and will post the imaginary answers as comments below!
